using kelling 387 motors with mach 3 and gecko any help would be apreciated 1:13 lead screw currently runiing 26000 steps 20 velocity 2 acceleration iam not sure if thease are correct velocity acceleration step |

| If you mean a 13tpi lead screw directly driven from the stepper motor, then you are correct. 26,000 steps per inch with the G540 which is a ten micro step drive. Velocity is what ever you are comfortable with up to the point that the stepper will stall, at which point you back off 10% to be safe. I would say that your acceleration is a little low, but it depends on what you are trying to drive and what results that you are looking for. You will really need to do some trial and error on your machine to make sure it does what you want. Mike
