G540 SPECIAL

Hi,

We did a 500-unit custom G540 run for a client. We run a 10% overage for custom units to insure the contracted for amount passes test. This run all 550 passed test so we have 50 custom G540 REV4s left over.

The client needed hex DB9 connectors whose posts are 0.05" shorter than our round DB9 and DB25 posts. That is the only difference (see attached jpg). The screws in our standard DB9 mating shells are too short to mate with these sockets.

We will sell them at our 50 quantity price ($225) in singles or for the whole lot. Contact sales@geckodrive.com. They will not appear on our website for purchase.

Mariss

Are the DB9 connectors still included? I can find new screws.

I want to do a cnc lathe conversion in the near future so I am considering buying one now. Hopefully I will get around to it before the warrenty expires!

Paypal is one of the standard payment options on the Gecko website.
Sales were definitely at work on Monday as I got a reply to my questions.

Order placed today before the $A falls any further

Thanks for that. Maybe my request fell into some internet black hole.

Feel your pain. Canadian peso in use here.

I called them, confirmed availability. Then I was told to just order a G540 online and put a note on the order that said "Overstock special at $225.00".

My special price G540 arrived yesterday, but I didn't have time to try it out until this morning.

It's a winner! I hooked it up to an Oriental Motor PK268-02A motor, half-coil, 2A, 48VDC, and that combination is very, very nice.

I've tested it at various speeds from 100 RPM to 1,344 RPM. Smooth and quiet.

Now the problem is going to be finding a good application for the other PK268-02A motors that I have on the shelf.
