Hi i was going to use a minarik dc drive (set the E max to 40vdc, 18A ) as my power supply but was told that was not compatable with the gecko 320's and i was wondering why i had planned on using a cap on the output to flatten out the ripple and even using a bridge to block the cemf. since it would be pretty much flat line dc i dont understand why it wont be suitable i am not second guessing what i was told i am just interested in knowing why it wont work i also had some dc digital ammeters lying around and installed them , but they screwed things up so i had to remove them from the cct thought it would be cool to see guess the drives dont like the shunts anyway once i removed the meters all went well tried one of the sample programs that comes with turbocnc and watched the motor spin neat to finally see some action all i have to do now is build the mahine itself like that will be easier said then done |
