G203V + G100 dead??

We had some lightning strikes in our area last night.

I have a Dead 203V that has the red and amber lights flashing when everything is either connected or disconnect. What does this fault indicate

Also my G100 is not communicating with the PC ie PC Lan is showing it is disabled when plugged in and powered up and cannot ping. I have tested the PC Network card and it is OK

The power was completly isolated to the machine with the only connection being the USB cable to a Smooth Stepper then on to the Gecko's and a X-over lan from the PC to the G100

So why is it do I have a dead drive and G100.

The PC was plugged in but turn off over night however.

geckos got a pretty good stuff happens policy

i remember when the 203v was announced , it was to be the indestructable drive , there was a long list of stuff a guy could do to it and not hurt it but i think they overlooked lightning

get in touch with them down at gecko , theyre great when it comes to these things

I just checked the little internal fuse and it is OK.

this may be a shot in the dark but have you tryed another data cable , i messed up the wiring once , well maybe twice before and i cooked the data cable and all else was fine , meanwhile i thought i cooked the whole works ,i couldnt tell you how many tests it took to figure that one out
