After equipping my 3 1/2 axis mill with Gecko 202s, I had one fail (going to sleep) within the first hour of testing. Using 60 vdc, Tormach 1200 in oz steppers rated at 6a, using 220K current limit resistors, heatsink is large aluminum plate, with heat sink compound. Placed my spare 202 in service and the problem was cured. So I inquire via the Gecko website. The website directs me to the contact info email submission form. I fill it out with detail and submit it last weekend, and still no response. Are they closed or on vacation? |

| Trebleplink, We are most definitely alive and here. We were having a minor problem with our website this week and your contact submission could have been lost in the ether. When did you send the email, and under what name? If you are having a problem with a drive and would like to send it back for evaluation, please send it to the address listed on our website with the "Stepper Return Form" completely filled out. We will take a look at it within 24 hours of receiving it and will let you know what the problem is if we find one. Marcus |

| Treble, Well, I checked my email and I never got the message. It goes through the office here first and they forward tech stuff over to me, because that only makes up about 10% of the emails we get. I looked in there and they had not forwarded the email over to me like they should have. I apologize for the inconvenience, and we will make sure things like this don't happen again. I just responded to the email that you originally sent, and if you have any more questions feel free to ask me. Marcus |

| Here is a copy of my response to your PM because I am not sure which you will read first. Mike, What coating on the bottom? You should be attaching the heatsink to the heatsink plate on the G203. If you read the results of our "G540 Heatsink Experiment" you will see that the most important thing to have is air circulation. What is the current rating of the motor you are going to be running?
