I have Three Gecko drives G202s hooked to some nema 23 stepper motors, and a Breakout board. and using a 24 power supply each one works real good. But I have built a power supply that puts out 71volts through a bridge rectifer then using 6 each 8200MFD capacitors rated at 80 volts, Im planning on using it for my main power supply for the drives. But I have not hooked it up yet because I dont know how much ripple ac voltage the Gecko 202s can handle. I cant measure the ripple voltage because under a no load condition there should not be any. but my volt meter (digital) shows 155 ac volts. I dont think this is correct but now im affraid to hook it up to the 202s for fear of burnning them up . has any one built there own power supply and what is the mininum capacitors you are using for filtering... |

| Use this equation: uF = 80,000 * I / V for 60Hz mains uF = 100,000 * I / V for 50Hz mains. 'I' is the maximum power supply output current 'V' is the power supply open circuit voltage 'uF' is the filter capacitor minimum rating in microFarads Mariss |
