    Bzzt…Bzzzzt…Poof! Smoke Cloud. RIP Gecko201?

I just flipped on my machine today and then the X axis put on a little light display as the title indicates. I shut everything down immediately but am now curious to the state of my breakout board. Fuse didn’t blow. Gecko201’s 8 months old.

My control box had some dust in the inside. Could this have caused this catastrophic failure?

Send it back to Gecko for evaluation. They will check everything and report to you what it was. They also may replace/repair it free under their 'first time stuff happens policy'.

If the dust contained any metal flakes.... then yes
