I'm trying to ensure I understand the requirements for Term 10 on the G201. The installation notes and accompanying picture shows this terminal as requiring +5v. However, my G201, unlike the pictures and documentation, has Term 10 marked as Common! Since I'm using the CNC4PC Multi Function Board which allows either +5v or Common I'm getting confused. Anyway, what is required for Term 10 when it is marked as Common? Best Regards. Carl |

| Hi Carl, That may have been to short of an answer. When you set the CNC4PC Multi Function Board to be 5v... all of the common pin terminal become 5v pin outs. So set the jumper to 5v and run wire from those com pin outs to the gecko common (5v) Later, Jack

| Jack, Thanks for the reply. I don't know much about electronics and the standard house wiring I do usually uses common to mean the non hot or return line so I wanted to be sure before I wired it. Thanks again and best regards. Carl |

| Carl, I think everyone has the same thoughts........ common?.... isn't common ground? IIRC: All of gecko drives uses 5v on the common terminal, except for the G203v, which uses ground for the common terminal. If you search this forum, you'll find others who have had the same questions. So don't feel alone. Cheers, Jack
