I just ordered my g201's and I would like to verify the requirement for the current set resistor. The stepper's are: x and y: 6 wire 4.8v @ 2.53 amps (nameplate rating) I will be hooking these up full winding to a switched 48 volt 25 amp power supply. z: 6 wire 6v @ 2 amps (no nameplate on this motor, the seller said these specs were for unipolar. it is a Oriental Vexta model # PH299-02B.) The same power supply. Can I use a 69.8k 1/2 watt 1percent for the x & y and a 27.4k for the z? Also I have a 4000uf 100vdc cap on hand...can I hook that to the PS output? Also,also...should I pick up a 82v zenier? Do i need it? i have the 470uf's for the PS connection to the drives... Sorry for all the ??'s but I'm making a shopping list and would like to get it right the first time... Thanks in advance...
