I'm not sure whats wrong... I've got 1.8deg stepper and the G203V, but at 2000 pulse steps from a parallex microprocessor its not making a full rotation. Do I have the motor wired wrong? Its an 8 wire and wired in series, but would this happen if something is reversed or incorrectly wired... I'm at a loss and this seems to be the only out that I can think of.. |

| Here's what it could be: 1) You have a 0.9 degree motor (400 full steps / rev) instead of 1.8 degrees. 2) You think you are sending 2,000 steps but you actually aren't. 3) The G203V is missing some sent steps because of interface timing or logic level incompatibilities. 4) Excessive rate of accel/decel; excessively course ramp staircasing, etc. How can you tell? 1) The motor moves smoothly and repeatability is perfect, just it's not the right distance. Door #1 or #2. 2) The error is random (poor repetition) or the motor sounds rough. Door #3 or #4. Mariss |
