    G201, no holding power at idle

    I've got a G201 and a 600-oz in stepper for my rotary 4th axis. It spins fine with plenty of torque, but I'm able to turn it by hand whenever it stops moving. What's going on here?

    Do you have the jumpers set for Auto Current Reduction? If so then try it without.

    That is indeed going to be a current standby jumper situation. Move the jumper to pins 1 and 5 on the block (the two closest to the capacitor), and see if that solves the problem.
