Hey guys, can I connect the err/res signal of a g320 to mach3? Can I tie all of the signals into the same pin somehow? I would like to estop the system if there is a fault. Sorry if this has been asked before. Paul |

| Err/reset pin is referenced to Gecko drive internal bus (Motor DC neg). It should be done through an opto isolation circuit at the least. Then you will need to provide the power on reset you need for the 320. (also isolated ). Check the EZPlug Gecko interface cards we sell for the 320/340. They have support for all of the signals needed including a central (common) fault shutdown signal. It's not a bad idea to use that to shutdown power rather than just stopping MACH. If the fault is caused by some out of loop condition just e-stopping the software may not stop the motion. TOM CAUDLE www.candcnc.com |
