Yes. But the question is: Was in in warranty or out of warranty? What did they say? I sent one off today. I certainly don't think they owe me a thing. I blew it by doing something stupid. |

| This one was under warranty as it was pretty new and bought directly from them. However that never was questioned. There is a marking on your Gecko that tells them when it was made. There have been issues with a few of them that they are aware of. Not sure which model you have, but I think you get one freebie anyway. Even if it was your fault. The one I sent back had an intermittent IC chip. Whatever that is. It's on it's way back though at no cost. I have had good experience with both Gecko and Xylotex. With Xylotex, it was absolutely my fault, and Jeff fixed it for naught. Mariss has now done the same, but this time I didn't kill it. I think you will be pleased with the outcome. Just give it a little time.

| They have what they call a One time stuff happens deal.. If you accidently destroy a drive you can send it back with a note explaining exactly what you did to kill it and they will fix/replace it for free - one time. Of course if there's something wrong with it that you didn't cause its a matter of warranty. |

| with all the posts from guys asking what would be the best driver for them to buy ,i have never saw him take that as an opportunity . after dealing with gecko's its clear to me that they are a company that goes above and beyond pride and honour in the product , which really i find is a difficult thing to come across , after looking at so many of the drivers available above 2amp the geckos are very fair in price as well ,i couldn t find anything in comparison when i needed drivers for 6 amp motors

| I also had to send back a fried drive, it was all my fault. I had never wired anything electronic in my life and I just plain screwed up. They took care of me. I called and spoke with Mariss on the phone for at lease an hour about what I was doing and how to determine the right encoder count and belting to get to the best operation of my machine. I had my machine belted to fast and the encoders were too high of a count. With a few adjustments it really helped me out. Danny |

| Gecko can't be beat. I bought a machine shop and included in the package was a homebrew router. It had some of the first 201's in it. I at the time was taking some hard knocks in cnc. I had 3 machines running 3 different software packages. The electronics in the router were done exceptionally well. It was running AHA in a DOS LPT1 config. I could get it to move in one direction in all three axis but when instructed to go the other direction in would continue to go in the same direction. This was the case in all 3 axis. I talked to Mariss on the phone and we went point to point with a dvm. We changed the grounding and signal input. He finally said to send them in and he would take a look at them. Now here is the deal, these were probably 5 years or more out of warranty, I was not the original owner, and they were fixed for free and shipped back to me on thier nickle. They have worked fine for almost 2 years. I have an old Torchmate plasma table. The supplied driver failed and a new one was almost $700. It really could not be classified as anything but hobby electronics. The support from the company which made the electronics was poor. Send them in, there will be a charge to look at them, they probably cannot be fixed, plasma dust is a killer, etc. The software supplied was DOS based and could not be THC integrated. I made a new driver box and populated it with (you guessed it!) Geckos. |
