Hi guys, I'm Kevin and I'm new to CNCzone. Recently, I purchased three stepper motors from Keling Inc, 3 G203V stepper motor drives and power supply. When I wanted to do the integration between these components, someone suggested I need a breakout board. Then I searched on the internet, breakout board seems to be a protection board, which protects short circuits for PC. This is achieved by providing some kind of opti-isolated circuits i believe. But G203V already uses opti-isolated inputs, in this case, do I still need to purchase the breakout board? Is there anyway we can make the breakout board by ourselves? It's going to be a great help~~Thanks in advance, guys |

| I use a PMDX-122 breakout board with my G202 and some of my G203v stepper drivers. If nothing else, I consider it to be a cheap insurance policy (especially since I'm using a Parallel Port that is part of the computer's motherboard). The 'charge pump' feature is worth the price of the board. |
