G903 Step Pulse Multiplier Board?

Mariss, hope you read this. I've got a 203V(quite satisfied), but motor needs to go faster than what 25khz gives me. I see the new revision 5 manual lists the G903, but there's no listing or price for it on the site. Is it available yet? If no, how soon?

Thanks
Ed

The G903 is a 'minor project'. The circuit is designed and I have the prototype boards. These boards still have to be populated and testing should reveal any design errors. The G903 is a true 4-quadrant design versus the single-quadrant G901. This means no amount of direction changing can cause position error. The position error accumulator design is lifted from the G320 servodrive.

The G903 is also a hardware prototype for much smaller components than any of our other drives use and for finer printed circuit board traces. A G203V built to these new rules would have its circuitry occupy less than half the board area that it does currently. The G901 board dimensions are 1.250" by 1.375" versus 0.800" by 1.000" for the G903 (32mm by 35mm versus 20mm by 25mm).

The goal is to then integrate the G903 circuit with the G203V design onto a single board and call the resulting drive a G204V. It should be no more expensive than a G203V.

The G903 should be ready by late summer, mostly because I'm putting my efforts into the servo stepper design which is not a 'minor project'.

Th G903 will never be rolled out. We are going to incorporate the step pulse multiplier into the CPLD, which will be labeled the G213V. The G213V will be ready very soon, but as testing is on hold. Testing will be resumed upon completion of the G251, G251, and G540, which is our obsession at the moment.

So there is no option for a pulse multiplier on a 203V I already have, or is the 901 acceptable?

Thanks
Matt

The G901 will not work with the G203V unfortunately. There will not be a plugin step pulse multiplier for the G203V, and will have to be bought as the G213V.
