| Yes! You can take any BRUSHED DC motor and attach an encoder to the shaft. I get my encoders from USDigital. I use the E2 style on the G320 G340 drives. These encoders will not need a extra powersupply because they will use the +5 VDC power from the drive.

| Interesting. I may go that route on my next machine. I am thinking two servo gecko's for x and y and a stepper for z. I like that they take step and dir commands so I can use turbocnc to run the machine. Eric

| Don't use motors with a high encoder count (>2000) because the gecko's error trip limit is only +-127 pulses, which maks the drives trip way to easily. I tried Geckos on motors with 4000 count encoders but had to switch to an other brand. |
