I am retrofitting a Milltronics mill with servo motors rated 4000 RPM at 140 max volts/11amps and need new servo drivers. I have had nothing but good experiences with various Gecko stepper drivers. For this reason, along with cost, I would like to use G320's in the retrofit. I understand that with an 80 volt max rating on the Geckos my speed will be less, but still far more than I need for any machining op I will do. What I need to know is if back emf will damage these drives when using these motors. Any input/education would be much appreciated! |
