Hi there. I dont know if i should post this here or in the Servo Motors and drivers forum, but here goes.
Ive been looking at a linear servo from
Linmot. But their servo drives are very expensive and i want to use the
EMC2 software. On the EMC2 site they list geckodrives as supported hardware and i like the idea of G-rex.
However there are some problems.
The linearmotor uses 2 phases (Phase1- & phase1+ and phase2- & phase2+) and two (i think) HALL-effect sensors for positioning. They dont have much information of these linearmotors on their site so im trying to figure some things out. The linearmotor doesnt have brushes so i guess its classified as a brushless servo. However one thought i just came up with is what if the motor is accually two motors in one? One HALL-effect sensor and one phase to each motor. If thats true i maybe can use two geckodrives for each linearmotor? But im sure it isnt that simple

.
I need to know if the G320 or G340 can handle HALL-effect sensors and if they can drive the linearmotor.
Linear servomotor pinout on page 4. Some information about the linear servomotor on page 40 (Big file)
I hope you can help me out a little.
Thanks.
