| I have a controller using geckoG201 drives the current set resistor is set up for 3 amps I want to connect another machine to the same controller and be able to switch back and forth the steppers on this other machine are as follows 8 lead 200 oz in 3 volt 3 amps what connection do I need to make to the steppers bipolar series or parallel without changing the current set resistor in the controller. Thanks |

| if I am correct in what you are asking than you want to be able to use one controller to power 2 different machines. by the sounds of it you already have the first machine set up for 3 amp/phase and you want the other to be 3 amp/phase as well, so you will need to find out which connection (series or parrallel) is 3 amps as conecting them differently will change the amperage and once you find out which connections will give you 3 amp/phase than connect your motors to the driver in that way. |
