I just acquired a Bridgeport boss six which is an excellent mechanical condition but I would like to change the controls to something a little less archaic. For now I was considering leaving the stepper motors and using gecko drives. I would like to use the new G100 but I'm not sure which drive to use. Does anyone have a recommendation? Does anyone have any experience mounting encoders on these boss motors? thanks in advance |

dan donegan, I am interested. How is your retro doing? Happy with it? I need list of the boards and stuff you want to get rid of. Did you use old stepper motors on retro? How about heat sinks for big driver transistors? Is that what they are called? Did old boards work before your retro? What was their history/problems? How far are you from Newburgh,IN 47630? And which direction? My buddy needs boss 4 parts like LSI-11 which is diff. from 5 or 6. If you know where there are some. Live Long and Prosper grigsbyatwowwaydotcom |
