replace old control

Hey All, As with HSM I have found a lot of information here. My old Kent Miller with Anilam control has died.My Servos are good(SEM with Tach output) Glass scales are in good shape Standard Acurite,anilam. Can I use this with the Gecko 320/340? Or do I need to swap out the tach for an encoder. Right now I have Glentek drives velocity control. The controller gets realtime feedback from the scales. I am tired of entering G code at the box am thinking of using mach1 or turbo cam. Driveing thru the parallel port or through an compumotor indexer I have PC23.

Thanks for any help or sites to goto where others have refit their machines.

You won't find a better control than their Rubicon (Numeryx).
If you don't need HSM (I don't know why anyone in buisness of making money with their CNCwouldn't) except maybe a guy in his garage or something...

Or a Centroid is really low cost...
DOC is right in your neighborhood though, thats a good thing...
