I'm thinking about building a case that houses everything - ATX mobo, Antec PC power supply, HDD, CDROM, Parallel breakout board, Geckos, and large 24-80v PS. Anything wrong with using one of the PC power supply's 5v terminals to power the breakout board and all the Geckos? |

| There is nothign wrong with using the PC power supply for all your 5 and 12v needs, remember that the red one is 5v and yellow is 12. I built a case with all of that stuff you described(minus cdrom) and thought it was all great, which it was kind of nice to have it like that. although the main problem with it is that it was so messy, it was really hard to keep everything nice. If I was to drop a little more money into it, get a little larger case, I think I could have done a much better job with the setup like that. Jon

| just keep the stepper motor wires, controller, and large 24-80v ps away from data cables and the mobo.
