hey all you geckoheads,
i got my first gecko, and when i first hooked it to power without control signal, it locked up .But that is supposed to happen, right? but now, it wont lock up on powerup minus signal, does that mean it's fried? maybe it's OK.
Anyways, i was trying to use a basic stamp to supply a control signal, but i don't believe it will achieve down to .5-5 usecond resolution.All it will do is hesitate back and forth, now i have to look into a "breakout board". i don't know if i should use a cnc4pc bboard or a campbell designs bboard, the difference is $25 vs $140ish. Also, i dont know whether to use the mach 2 or mach 3 freeware software.
if anyone can give me some suggestions i would appreciate it.
