G210 Step Multiply Confusion | | Hi All,
I have a couple Gecko G210 drives and I am confused about the step multiply feature. For conversation lets assume the motor has 200 steps per revolution. Is the following the correct understanding of the multiplication feature?
One Step setting with one input step pulse = 1.8 degree motor rotation.
Half Step setting with one input step pulse = 0.9 degree motor rotation.
5 Micro setting with one input step pulse = 0.36 degree motor rotation.
10 Micro setting with one input step pulse = 0.18 degree motor rotation.
Summary:
A half step setting would require two step pulses to have 1.8 degree rotation.
A 5 micro setting would require 5 steps to have 1.8 degree rotation.
A 10 micro setting would require 10 steps to have 1.8 degree rotation.
Thanks,
Robert |
