    Jumpering Ground on psu to V-

    My electrician friend suggested that I do this I have 4 gecko 203v's

    POP POP POP POP all 4 gecko drives are not working fuses have blown.

    Did my friend steer me wrong ?

    Could you tell us a bit more about your wiring?

    It is common for the negative side of the DC power
    source feeding the Gecko drives to also be connected
    to the safety ground of the control cabinet or machine.

    If this caused your problem, I would be suspicious of
    the mains power wiring feeding your machine.
