    Hi guys

Just question about the current resistor for g540
My steppers are rated at 3.0amps
So I need 3.0k 1/4 watt 5% resistors is this correct, I'm in Australia & cannot seem too find a source for these here , anyone know of one?.
Or is there another way around This using other rated resistors to get 3.0k if so how would they have to be wired between pins 1&5 on the db25
    Thanks
    Riche

The 1/4 watt rating is just a convenient size. If you
can find 3.0K in a half watt size, that will work fine.

You can also make up 3.0k ohms by wiring two 1.5K
in series, or even three 1.0k in series.

    That is fine Riche.
By the way you mean the DB9, not the DB25?

Here is how I did my resistor.
