    what driver for these nema 23 570oz motors

    hi,
    will a g540 power 4 of these nema 23 570oz motors

    High-Torque Stepper Motor, Stepper Motor, Driver, Stepper Motor kit, DC Servo Motor, DC Servo Motor kit, Stepper Motor Power Supply, CNC Router, Spindle, and other Components. Automation Technology Inc

    or would the g201 be better

    will a 20amp powe supply be enough , I will also be adding a indexer later so I will be using 5 motors, 1 540 and 1 201 or 5 201's

    Those motors have a rated winding current of 5A.

    The max rated winding current for the G540 is 3.5A, so the G540 is not a good match for those motors. While you could drive the motors with reduced current, you would be giving up some of the torque that otherwise would be available from the motors.

    The G201X has a max current rating of 7A, which should be more than sufficient for those motors.

    According to Geckodrive's recommendations, a 20A power supply should be sufficient to power five of those motors.
