All, putting together a CNC Mini-Lathe and I need to know which gecko drive to go with. I'm using a PIII 750mhz with DOS 6.22 being controlled by Turbo-CNC. Their website is not built around helping people make decisions. The Motors are bi-polar. Also the gecko drive will only control ONE motor correct? Thank you! |

| The G201 would be sufficient, make sure you follow the directions and advice carefully (like heat sinking and external capacitor). The G202 does some of that for you and is more bulletproof. I got the 201's for my setup and they work great but in retrospect I probably would have been better off spending an extra $20 for the 202, for peace of mind if nothing else. Yes, one motor per gecko. |
