NEWBIE - G540 Fault problem (not charge pump)

I'm working on getting my system up and running. I (finally) got the thing up and running with the chargepump on from what appeared to be a working MACH3 install on my computer. Nice green power light instead of the fault light indicator.

I walked away for a moment and returned to see the fault light on.

It now won't come out of fault with the chargepump on or off - parallel cable installed or not.

I should also mention that I had this problem once or twice prior to getting the charge pump signal situation resolved.

I tried some searching to see if others had the same problem but nothing popped out at me.

Any thoughts as to why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.

    Brad

SOLVED: In this particular case it was a bad DB9 cable - once I removed it everything seems to be in order as I'm getting movement on the other axis
