Which breakout board for G320x?

Which breakout board are some of you running with the G320x?

Which board seems to be the easiest to connect?

I need one that has spindle control for a vfd, or able to add on a spindle controller.

Thanks for all of your suggestions.

I just ordered a PMDX 126 break out board.

Here:

PMDX.COM - Products for CNC and motion control applications

A spindle controller #107 for a VFD drive:

PMDX.COM - Products for CNC and motion control applications

Also, they had a special (3) Gecko 320x drives @ $115 each if you buy a PMDX interface board.

PMDX.COM - Products for CNC and motion control applications

Shipping will only be $7.

The reason I ordered from them is :

#1) Hood on the Mach 3 site and everywhere else is very helpful. He recommends PMDX products and has never heard of a bad one or any problems with them.

#2) Steve Stallings known as member *morestuff* was quick to offer help in a couple of my threads with out even mentioning he was "PMDX". No sales pitch at all. Finally I noticed his signature had a PMDX link.

Al_the_man is great!!!!!!!!!

This site would be lost without Al.

Let me know any info, past experiences, software patches, or mach add-on that are needed for this set-up I'm running.

Thanks to all,

JAckal

I have the pmdx125 with gecko 203v's, a month latter they came out with with the 126. Go figure!! But any way . I liked the way all there sister boards just plug in . No extra wiring.

Just added the 107 spindle board and a teco vfd. the hardest part was getting the vfd ,107 and mach3 settings correct so every thing works together.

Good products, modern and up to date. Always seem to be adding new features.

Hers's a few pictures of my set up.

bozidar22,

That is a great looking set-up. You even have a 4th axis!!!

If there are problems getting the VFD going, I may need your help & advice.

Mine will be a Teco. It hasn't been purchased, yet.

All of the positive opinions, makes me feel like a good decision was made on my purchases.

Thanks for the good words,

JAckal

kei,

You will need to look at the diagram from PMDX on the 126 board. Compare it to the manual & wiring on the Gecko 320x drive. You will have to figure out your own wiring diagram. Each machine is different.

Here is a link with a pic I made up for the PMDX . It kind of helps to look at during wiring.

Make sure you have the same series 126 board and it isn't a different version or revision than the one in the pic.

It is post#16. Click on the picture for a larger view:
