Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the G251x and the G201X? I am going to retrofit the lathe portion of a smithy machine (scraping the mill) and was considering just using the 251x drivers. I don't have any experience with steppers, so I don't really know what to look for. will most likely match them with the steppers Gecko is selling since they are about the right size for the lathe. |

| G251 = 3.5 amps and 50V G201 = 7 amps and 80V The G201x can run much larger, more powerful motors.

| Or are you trying to sell more G540's? ![]() Since the G251X has screw terminals, why is it harder to use than a G201X? I'm planning on using a combinations of G251X's and G201x's on my next router. Tell me why I shouldn't?
