    Talking G201 -vs- G202 -vs- G210 -vs- G212

I am looking at buying gecko drives to run my steppers but i am not sure which I should purchase.

It looks like the difference between the 201 and the 210 is the steps. If i am correct the 210 produces 10 steps for every one that is sent to the drive.

Is this a good thing and how do i know if this is the way to go.

The 202 and the 212 have just shown up on the site but i would also like any info that can be given on them.

I would like to get my drives ordered so i can play around with the motors before i start to design and build my cnc.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I recently built a 3 axis stepper system using the G202. They are bullet proof. I deliberately shorted out the outputs of A to B, then A to C and last C to d
As advertized they paused then went right on working after the short was removed. Also disconnected the stepper motor under power which is also a no-no. It was no problem.
I prefer the G201 over the G210 because the G210 tends to be fussy about the timing for the direction change. But if you have a large number of steps per inch say 50,000 then sure the G210 would be the better choice. I would say the G210 is the better deal up to 35000 steps per inch
