Recently purchased a big porter cable router for my cnc. When I run my routine with the router off, everything is fine. When I run the same routine with the Router running, I lose steps and can hear a random, intermittent knocking noise coming from my motor. The router is plugged into the same outlet as my power supply for the stepper motors. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it! Drivers: 1 G212, and 3 G202s Power supply: Unregulated using a 7.5 amp variac ac transformer, a bridge rectifier and a 10,000 uF capacitor. (running at about 60 V) Motor in Question: PK268-03Amp (The router has a built in speed control, so can conceivably not be drawing a steady supply of power, depending on the load placed on it) |
