I am wondering if the 'position reached' LED on the new 320X can be used to trigger a solid state relay. Potentially I am thinking the physical LED could be removed and the pads wired to a tiny opto isolator to drive a solid state relay. This would undoubtedly void the warranty, but that would be acceptable to me if the modificatin is workable. Second, I expect that the LED light could be contained and a photosensor placed over it and have an external device triggered by the photosensor. In this case I would need a suggestion for a sensor that would be triggered reliably by the kind of light emitted by the LED. |
