G540 questions: XML file and Parallel Port settings | |
Got my G540 hooked up to my 7x10. I have the green LED and holding torque, indicating that all is well with the G540 and motors.
Exactly where and how do I apply the XML config file downloaded from Gecko's G540 page?
Also, my Compaq EVO has EPP + ECP mode for the parallel port, it has no option for just EPP mode. Is this a problem?
I'm attempting to use Mach, and brief playing around resulted in no joy. I assume this is due to lack of proper configuration in Mach.
EDIT: I found the joy! I did an initial search before posting but nothing showed up, so I went back out and did a Google search, which resulted in finding a thread explaining how to use the XML file. Once I loaded that, the machine came to life, thereby also answering my second question.
