motor won't turn

testing my setup before installation.. Gecko 210 set to microstepping locks my stepper motor when powered up. i have it set for 1amp (testing), and i'm reading 0.2A being drawn from the powersupply.

power-off and the motor unlocks.

tried this with 3 different steppers (small medium and large) and they all lock.

running Mach2 and BobCampbell's breakout board.
I have my tuning options set on the low side.

I have everything wired except the Disable terminal.

ideas?

Were you the guy with the 1K current set resistor instead of the needed 10K I talked with Wednesday?

from the box of mystery resistors with the faded red stripes?
don't know if i would've ever caught that myself, thanks again.

i moved up to the bigger resistor and wired the larger motor.
wasn't easy getting those 8gage wires in those little terminals.
drilled them out and now i'm golden. my 3ph 25hp motor still isn't
turning but at least its making screeching sounds now.

my geckos turned red and the silkscreened graphics have peeled off.
i couldnt' find any info about that in the troubleshooting section.

q: the 470uF/100V, aka "the flywheel". will 1000uF/63V do?
