G340 - Agilent encoder Problem

Hi all ,
I've been using a G320 driver with a HDES 5500 encoder successfully for the
past three years. Yesterday I decided to replace it with G340 drive to use the
step multiplier , Here the problem appeared : on one direction (X+) movement is
so smooth like always , but at the other direction (X-) motor so oscillating in
a very bad way and the driver err. lights !!!

Mariss recommends a 1uF capacitor at the encoder's power source or 1k ohm pullup
resistors at the A/B signals , I Tried both but no result !!!

Any advise ?

There are some factors like proportional gain, stiffness which outcome oscillating.

Please check with your MTB to set correct values.

I've been successfully using the exact setup for the past 3 years , the only change is replacing G320 with G340 !!! and if I put the G320 back the system goes OK !

There are many Electrical parameters controlling it such as GAIN & so on.

Sorry to say but i wont be able to give you any advise on the same.
