Hi Chaps, Just a quickie which may not be so straight forward. Is there any way to power a stepper over the 3.5A rating of the G540's drivers? My X axis is approx 80Kg yet the Y and Z (and the A axis) are only about 20Kg so the G540 is good for 3 axis but not for the movement of the 80Kg gantry. I'm thinking of using a Nema 34 motor with 8Nm (1132 Oz in) of torque but they are rated at 8A/phase. Does anyone know of a good solution for this? If the Gecko G540 could provide just one axis with more than 3.5A it would be perfect but until this is sorted I'm stuck. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all, Paul |
