Hi all, I've read the manuals for gecko drives, I currently have G203v and I' would like to know how to correctly dimension the power supply. I know that for voltage there is the : 32 * (√mH inductance) = Power Supply Voltage That is ok but I'm kinda confused about the Amps of the power supply. Lets say if I run 4 motors both the same rated 6A. Do I build lets say a 50VDC 6A power supply or a 50VDC 24A (4x6A)? I know I could just throw a 30Amps so I overkill the thing but I don't wanna do that and the transofrmer gets more expansive as high as you go. Or it doesn't work that way at all...? Thank you, Gustavo |

| You take the sum of the rated current of all motors, and give them around 67% of that. So if your running 4~ 6 amp motors you would want a 16 amp supply. http://www.geckodrive.com/upload/Step_motor_basics.pdf Page 10 |
