I am running the G540 on the Dyna DM3000 with a 48vdc @ 4.5A PS. It was recommended that I run the Escap P852 half coil. I did that and I could never get it to go continuously in 1 direction. I thought it was noise or a bad connection. I checked all of those and then at the suggestion of another Dyna owner was to wire it in bipolar series. I did that and reset the current set pot to 2.5v instead of the 3.5v and it works great. I also dont notice a speed change better or worse but now I will be able to set accel and velocity more accurately. Does it make sense why this would help the directional issue? |
