Recently, I've set up my new EMC-driven Sherline lathe with a pair of Gecko G251's. It's working well, and I wonder how I got along with the Xylotex in my mill for so long... Anyway, I'm wondering what the optimum timings are, for Step Time, Step Space, Direction Hold, and Direction Setup. I've been playing around with the configuration, and many settings seem to work, although they sound different even when moving at the same speed.
