Relationship of voltage of the PS?

I have a Dyna 3000, it came with (2) 24vdc 4.5A power supplies. These were wired to supply 48vdc, I am guessing at 4.5A (I am not sure there would be another amperage possible at 48vdc? with these 2 power supplies). To set up the G 540 I just used 1 of the supplies til I reconfigure the original Lambdas to 48vdc. My question is, it all works at 24vdc but when I do finally go up to the 48vdc, will speed increase or torque or both? Or would it be smarter to use the 2 supplies at a lower voltage and higher amperage in this case 24vdc @ 9A. Thanks

Buy me a Beer?

Speed is proportional to voltage. At 0 rpm, torque is the same regardless of voltage, but as voltage increases, you'll have more torque at higher speeds.

so speed will increase if I double the voltage.

It worked like a champ. Got some help from Al the Man on how to reconnect my power supplies and now I have 48vdc. It does increase speed and torque. On top of that all drivers in my G 540 work fine it was just some setting issues. Overall speed is acceptable. Still having an auto reversing problem (only on Z) but I will measure the PP output first and go from there.
