I'm trying to get my motors tuned (just trying one right now). And don't quite understand the turning section of Mach2. I have my steps per unit at 10000, which just seems high. It's 250 cpr ttl encoder. So that would be 250 x 4 x 10 (10tpi) = 10000. My Vel. and Accel are set at 0.765 and 1.175 respectively. The only problem, is that when given a position move, I barely put any pressure on the opposite end of the screw, and the drive faults out. I've tried adjusting the limit, damp and gain with no difference.

I'm using 600oz servos and G320's.

I was playing with the motor setup and not really sure how, but I've blown 2 fuses now. Could it be something with the settings? Too high of an accel maybe?

Just maybe a coinincidence, but out of the 3 geckos I have, 2 are marked I4 and the other is marked G4 up near the fault light. It's the G4 that is blowing fuses. Are the I4/G4 just some type of revision number?

Any help on the tuning problem would be appreciated. I'm off to see if I can find some fuses.
