G540 + PNP tool lenght probe - No input

Hi,

unfortunately I got PNP probe which seems to be a bit more difficult to hook up - however I found instructions (see pic) that should help but not quite.....

It has separate 12V power supply. G540 is running 48V. Funny thing is that electronics 'work': when no tool contact there is 0V between pin12(GND) and pin4 (input4) and 9V when tool is down but g540/Mach3 dont register it ???????. However if I put 5V from another external power source to pin12(-) and pin4 (+) Mach3 sees it.

I used different transistor BC182B NPN and 5600ohm resistors.

Why input dont register the change from 0 to 9V?
