Runaway with G320X
My setup is a little weird and I have to wonder if that is the root cause of my issue. I have an external power supply for my encoders as they require more than the G320X can provide. I have gone through testing and am currently working with just my Z axis. I tested it all and hooked it all up then supplied power to my system and the Z took off until it hit the limits. I disconnect the power to the armature and go back to retest and find that I fault out when I provide power to the encoder. With the reading I did I increased the gain and tried to switch A & B signal wires but had the same results. I'm not really sure where to go from here and would really appreciate input. Thanks

Any thought on why it faults when power is supplied to the encoder?

I turned HEDS on after I reverified the wiring from the encoder and it no longer faults as soon as the power supply for the encoder is connected however it still takes off.....I have no idea why. Is there any chance the - signals should be used instead of the + from the encoder? The only reason I ask is the colors of the wires being used for signal. My other encoders used black from the - signal and this axis uses black for the + signal....I know I am really stretching on that one but I am at a loss.
