    Default gecko g540

    Hi Guys

I have a Gecko g540 board it was working fine the other day. Today I turned it on my machine with no alarms.

I tried to jog my gantry y axis and the one motor is not engaging. the y axis moves but the slave a axis is not starting. I in hocked the a axis motor from the tower and put in the z axis slot and the motor works so that is a good thing. I then put the z axis in the a axis slot and it does not work.

I did check mach3 config>slave motor and it is engaged.

What is the odds it is my gecko board. or could it be in mach.

would think it is the gecko board.
I had a similar setup on a previous machine where all drives ran off one board, and one of the axis went to ground for some reason rendering the board useless, This may not be your case but if there is a way to test the board for continuity across its drive pins and ground it will tell you if there is a problem. There should be no relationship with the drive pins to ground.
