    Default Which Gecko G540 kit would be better 381 oz or 570?

    Needed for router, 48"x48" table with gear and rack drive all steel tube frame and gantry. 2 motors will be used for driving the Y axis.

    381 oz-in Stepper Motors
    4 Axis Stepper Motor CNC Router / Mill Electronics Kit, Gecko G540 (110VAC/220VAC)

    This is nearly plug and play --

    1: the only connections required are two wires between the G540 and power supply

    2: the AC power cord for the power supply, both of which are provided via convenient screw terminals.

    Without any experience with these kits, my guess is that the 381's will have higher top speed, while the 570's will have quicker acceleration, but only up to a slower speed.
    Also, that first kit only has two 381oz motors, and one 960? That 960 is not going to work well for your other axis.

    And if using belt reduction drives, you really want to use motors with 3/8" shafts.
