i know what it looks like but i would like to know where to get one. It would be nice to know where to call and order one. I am not a big fan of messing with power supplies.

Thanks for the info Ger21, That's mean to update my Servo sistem at present using 3 G320 geckos, 3 DC servos controlled trought Parallel port.
I Just need to add 1 Grex G-100, and I can get 4,000,000 steps per second, and this Grex will be controlled by the Ethernet or USB port, right?
Thanks!!!
Before you can make it, you need dream it!!!
One more thing? How many Inputs and outputs does this G-rex G100 have???
Thanks!!!![]()

I don't know for sure if you can get the full 4Mhz step rate with Mach3. And if using mach3, you can't use the USB. Also keep in mind that Mach3's G100 support is not yet complete, although may be functional enough for your use.

Looks good. But I notcied one thing. I can't see the 470 UF caps on terminals 1 and 3 of the G201. While your motors may run smooth the internal 100 uf cap may be getting warm or even hot due to the length of the wires you have from the cap to the drivers. The only way to tell is to remove the cover.
I always install the caps that gecko recommends across these two terminals.

If the G100 will do that, would there be a performance differance between a G201 and a G202 if both were running with the GREX ??
Bill
Not sured if I should jump in here but the G201 and G202 performance will be identical . Similarly the new G203 will have the same performance as the G201 and G202. The advantage of the G202 and the G203 over the G 201 are the short circuit protection and other features.
I recently tested some G201 and some G203 on my mill drill using mach3 with a G100 and got 110 IPM on my mill drill out of both of them. I had Mach3 set for 256 khz.

Thats kind of what I figuired Dan, that the pulse multiplier in the higher end Gecko's would have no benefit if one were to run the GREX...the extra oops protection in the 203V has many benefits however. It sure looks like if you ran the GREX AND kept your parallal breakout board(s) for other IO your switches could have switches and still have IO leftover hehe :-)

Thats such a cool video.![]()
Hi Ger21,
"The G100 replaces the parallel port and breakout board (s). It doesn't take the place of the drives. The G100 creates the step and direction signals, much cleaner and faster than the parallel port. Where the parallel port is limited to 45000 steps per second with Mach3, the G100 can output 4,000,000 steps per second"
I am interested to have G100. So GREX G100 work with Servo G320. I plan to replace my breakout board with GREX G100 and add 1 more G320 to have 4 axis. As Mariss said it will run smoother. Is it required only 1 GREX G100. Thanks. Aristo.
