I brought two Grex's when they first came out an loved them, i found out that Gecko have stopped selling them due to the difficulty of setting them up. all of that firmware IP address information can be a bit to much for most. I work for a n ISP here in New Zealand, i mainly build both wired and wireless networks and so found setting the Grex up pretty straight forward. (Yes i do have it running on wireless). I am 100% sad to see that controllers build for the future not the past like the Grex have fallen into the to hard basket. I cannot stress how much of a quantum leap controllers over IP (network) are. I am frustrated with the fact that CNC controllers seem to be stuck in this "parallel port" operation. I take solace in the fact that more and more computers are no longer coming out with parallel ports on board. Not a very useful thread i know, i guess i am saying i eagerly await the return of the Grex. Poor old Gecko built the thing 10 years to early. |

| I think if you contact them they may still sell them to existing customers.
