Hi i have some experience in g-code programming but for woodworking where things are a bit easier i would say (you do not care how much material you are going to remove for example) i was wondering what code you need to write for a machine to make a straight cut removing 10mm in total and 0.5mm each pass. is there a special g code to use in combination with the usual codes for lines and circles that automatically calculates and executes the steps needed for achieving the various passes? thanks |

| Depends on which control you have and what kind of functions are on the control. As Rowbare has said there is no specific single code that can do this but there are macros and canned cycles that make the programming easier. Stevo |
